Answering your social media questions!
Do I need to be on all platforms?
The answer's simple, NO!
It’s easy to sign up to a load of different platforms but when it comes to it, it’s not so easy to keep up with the mass of notifications and posts! Instead of making loads of accounts, you have to be strategic and set yourself up on platforms that fit your brand.
A good question to ask yourself is “what can I bring to this platform?”. For example, if your audience isn’t based on Pinterest and you aren’t interested in sharing many images this is not the platform for you. If you can’t create content that that platform would like to see, put your efforts elsewhere.
You don’t have to start with 8 different profiles to get your business out there, perhaps start with 1 or 2 that you’re familiar with and grow your business form those!
I’m in a “boring” industry, do i still need social media?
YES! Social media isn’t just here for the beauty bloggers, the athletes and the fashionistas. When it comes to marketing your goal is to reach your audience, and where do we all go? Social Media!
Social media can be used in a variety of different ways, from informing and educating your audience on your services to sharing your favourite content. Making your social media a friendly, happy place will do wonders for your brand.
Should I connect with everyone?
NO! This is not at all essential, yes interacting with your followers is important however who you interact with can affect your business a lot. Remember who you follow says as much about your brand as who follows you.
