Create a plan
If your social media plan is just to wing it, your fans and potential customers are going to know.
Establish a goal
Social media experts suggest that you establish SMART goals for your social media activities as well.
Share quality content
Create content that is inspiring or thought provoking to attract your target audience.
Maintain consistency
Keep your messages on target with your brand identity and voice.
Build a strong group
Build a group and invite people to join.
Be connected
Communicate regularly with your network and build relationships with potential customers.
Listen to your network
Engage with your audience by responding and asking questions.
Don’t
Be rushed
Besides diluting your network, you could be banned from the site.
Use only one network
Each social network has its own strengths and weaknesses, take the time to see which one works for your business.
Be Disingenuous
People will not respond well to someone who displays a bad attitude online.
Be a spammer
You will only gain negative feedback and may result in bans from the site or bad brand awareness.
Be to salesy
Engage with potential customers before you start selling. Its similar to knocking on someone’s door and selling to them straight away- don’t do it, build the relationship first.
Forget to thank people
If someone takes the time to share your content be sure to thank them, this might spark a meaningful conversation!
